Installing Internet Information Services (IIS)

IIS must be installed before installing the CTI Server and running the Snapshot installation program.

Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Instructions

 

  1. Open Server Manager from the Windows Start menu.
  2. Select Dashboard, then select Add roles and features.
  1. The Add Roles and Features wizard opens on the Before you begin page. Click Next.
  1. The Select installation type screen appears.
    • Role-based or feature-based installation - select this if you are installing on the local machine.
    • Remote Desktop Services Installation - select this if you are installing on a remote machine.

    Click Next.

  1. The Select destination server screen appears. Select Select a server from the server pool or Select a virtual hard disk, as appropriate.
  2. From the list of servers, select the server on which you wish to install IIS 10. Click Next.
  1. The Select server roles screen appears. In the list of server roles, check Web Server (IIS).
  1. The Add features that are required for Web Server (IIS)? screen appears. Click Add features.
  2. You will be returned to the Select server roles screen. Click Next.
  1. The Select features screen appears. Select SMTP Server.
  1. The Add features that are required for SMTP Server? screen appears. Click Add Features.
  2. You will be returned to the Select Features screen. Click Next.
  1. The Web Server Role (IIS) screen appears. Click Next.
  1. The Select role services screen appears. Ensure that the following options are selected in addition to the default options:

    • Health and Diagnostics
      • ODBC Logging
    • Management Tools
      • IIS 6 Management Console
      • IIS 6 Management Compatibility
    • Application Development
      • NET Extensibility 4.6
      • ASP.NET

    Click Next.

  1. The Confirm installation se*lections screen appears. Click Install.
  1. The Installation progress screen appears. Once installation is complete, click Close.
Tip:
To verify that IIS installation has been successful, open a web browser and navigate to http://localhost. An IIS 10 splash screen displays.
