Installing the Standalone IVR
To install the Standalone PBX:
1. Run the IVR PBX Installer
IVRPabx.msi installs the IVR PBX module, Application Manager, a cut-down version of Administrator, a database server, and two announce port processes.
- Run the IVRPabx.msi. Click Next.
- Select an installation location (by default, C:Program Files\Telephony\CTI\). Click Next.
- In the next screen, click Install.
- Once installation of the IVR PBX is complete, click Finish.
2. Configure the Announce Ports
- In Application Manager, in the Server Applications view for the appropriate service, select an Announceport application. Right-click and select Configure Application to display the General tab of the Configure Application screen.
- Click Port Configuration.
- The Port Configuration tab will be populated with certain default values. In most instances, you do not need to change these values or enter further information.
- Process Name = The name of the application (for information only).
- PBX Name = This is blank by default, and must be left blank.
- Port Type = Dialogic. This should be set by default.
- Number of ports = 0 (set as default). This allows the IVR PBX to autodetect the number of ports available.
- Queuing, Voice Messaging, IVR, Outbound IVR, Fax, Recording/Playback = These are all selected by default. You do not need to change these settings.
- Ports to Include = This field is blank by default. Leave blank if all ports on the Dialogic card are cabled. If only some ports are cabled, enter a comma-separated list of port numbers to include, or a combination of values (for example, 1,2,3-5).
- Fax Speed = This is set to Auto Detect by default, and should be left as this value.
- End Call Timeout = This is set to 4000 msec by default and should be left as this value.
- Ports to Exclude = A comma-separated list of port numbers to exclude. Use this list to prevent faulty ports from being used.
- Click OK to apply and save the settings.
3. Import IVR Prompts
- In Administrator, click Announce > IVR Prompts.
- Right-click within the right pane and select Import Folder.
- In the Import IVR Prompts dialog, enter the following information:
- Import type: Select Import from directory to import prompts from a folder in the file system, or select Import from a backup file to import a file (.ivb) containing one or more prompts.
- Import from: Click Browse to locate and select the folder or file to import.
- Include subfolders: Select this option to import valid files from all subfolders of the selected folder. This option is available for Import from directory only; Import from a backup file always imports the entire file.
- Overwrite existing prompts: Select this option to overwrite prompts with the same name as the imported prompts.
- Click OK to start the import. The result displays in an information dialog. Imported prompts are available for use and editing.
Note: |
---|
If importing from directory, prompt files must be in .wav format. The recommended .wav format is 44Khz 16bit mono. |
4. Enter Registry Settings
This should be done automatically, however you may want to confirm this or make alterations if you are making manual changes.
- Click Start > Run > regedit.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Zeacom\IVR.
- Edit the string value Script Dir to define the location of the prompt script you want to use. If you have installed the IVR PBX in the default location, this will be C:\Program Files\Telephony\CTI\Data\IVR\ScriptName, where ScriptName is the name of the prompt script you want to run.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Zeacom\Pabx\IVRPabx\Dialogic\ and enter the following DWORD values:
- RingsNo: Number of rings before answer. Defaults to 2.
- HookFlashDuration: Hook flash duration. Defaults to 50ms.
Notes on Upgrading the IVR PBX
There is no migration process for the IVR PBX. To upgrade to a later version, you must uninstall your current version and install the new version.
Caution: |
---|
If you want to retain your current prompts, you must export them before uninstalling your current IVR PBX. |
